• How frequently will we see each other?

Consistency is key when building the therapeutic relationship! I prefer to see clients on a weekly basis to begin. This really helps deepen our rapport and create trust. We always have the opportunity to adjust based on therapeutic progress going forward.

  • Will we meet in-person or virtually?

I am currently offering both in-person and virtual sessions across the state of New York. With consideration of changes in COVID variant and related public health risk, this information and policy is subject to change.

  • What if I feel awkward?

That’s okay! Taking the first-step of your therapy journey is brave. It’s normal to feel a little uneasy at first, especially if you’ve never been in therapy before. Keep in mind that therapy is ongoing and engaging in healing work can take significant time so don’t feel pressure to “get it all out” at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels good for YOU.

  • How much do sessions cost?

Therapist fees at Intuitive Healing Psychotherapy Practice are generally set at $180 for an individual session (45-50-minutes) and $200 for a couples session (60-70-minutes). We accept cash, check, or credit. A sliding fee scale based on annual income may be considered for clients who experience financial hardship. Please call for more information.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

Please check with your provider to see if you have "out-of-network" benefits if you are seeking insurance reimbursement, as Intuitive Healing is not an in-network provider. Clinical Services may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your provider questions like these:

*Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits?

    * What is my deductible and has it been met?

    *What is my "co-insurance"?

    * How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

*What is the coverage amount per session?

    * Is approval required from my primary care doctor?

In instances where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse your expenses.

  • What are the benefits to paying out-of-pocket?

Insurance companies often mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your notes while you are in therapy. In addition, they can limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year. For some, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit. Please be sure to call your insurance provider regarding benefits prior to scheduling a consultation.
